All elements of the circuit board are available through the Circuit Board Object. A TestSight® project can include multiple Circuit Board Objects as members of the Circuit Boards collection.
A Circuit Board object includes collections of Layer objects, Parts objects, Nets objects, Fixture objects, a Drill Collection, and Drawing objects.
The Circuit Board object contains virtually all the circuit board data imported from the GenCAM® or GenCAD file (or any of the other file translation options).
Under program control, you can access any of the members of a collection and obtain all relevant information.
For example, the Parts collection contains multiple Part objects. Each Part object has properties and methods that allow you to access the part name, size, location, description and pin names and locations. You can set the part color and individual pin colors form the part object.
The Nets Collection includes a Net object for each net in the Circuit Board. The Net Object contains properties and methods that let you control the appearance of the net on the screen. You can set the color for each net individually, or hide or show each net under program control.
